Indian Foreign Direct Investment in Africa
Overview
The aim of the paper is to review the roadmap of Indian foreign direct investment (FDI) in Africa by identifying the factors that have motivated Indian multi-national corporations (MNCs) to invest in Africa. The paper discusses the theoretical aspects related to the motives and types of outward foreign direct investment (O-FDI) and identifies the motivations of Indian O-FDI in Africa. It examines patterns of Indian O-FDI in Africa on the basis of sectors and destinations focusing on the Indian investment opportunity in Africa.
