Regulating Innovation in Urban Mobility in India
Overview
CUTS International has applied the Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) framework to estimate costs and benefits of select provisions of the Maharashtra City Taxi Rules, 2017. The analysis has been informed by in-person interactions with 1,000 drivers and 1,000 users of city taxi services in Mumbai Metropolitan Region and consultations with relevant stakeholders.
